Little Blossom is the first peak up the mountain from Blossom Peak Cabin. It's only a 1/3 of mile hike from the cabin. But in that short distance, it's an elevation gain of 480 feet! So it's a bit steep. I recommend using hiking poles. We've supplied some for you in the mud room.
Now, up until 2022, Blossom Peak Cabin was a working cattle ranch. So the trail is new addition. In other words, its not yet a well worn trail. Each time you walk the trail, you'll be helping to improve it by compacting the ground under your feet. Future guests thank you!
The trail starts at the cabin. Just look to the right of the water tank and you'll see the trail heading up.
The Start of Little Blossom Trail
The trail is well marked. The grass is cut down. There are ribbons on the trees along the way and reflectors when the trail changes directions.
The Marked Trail
After about 8 zig-zags up the mountain, you'll find yourself of the much flatter ridgeline and you'll see Little Blossom in front of you.
This is the last marker on the trail. After this, you can choose which way to go to get to the summit. Though, I recommend going to the left to get to the top.
